Bong-Kyo Moon (문봉교)

Bong-Kyo Moon

Bongkyo Moon received Ph.D. degree in Telecommunications from KCL (King’s College London), London, UK, in 2004, MSc. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from GIST, Korea, in 1998, and BEng. degree in Computer Science and Engineering with Mathematics from Sogang University, Korea, in 1992. He worked as a senior researcher in global standardization research at Telecommunication R&D Centre, Samsung Electronics, Korea, from 2003 to 2005. He worked as a research member in Mobile VCE (Virtual Centre for Excellence), London, United Kingdom, from 2000 to 2003. He also worked as a researcher in system software and enterprise platform both at Inex Technologies, Inc., Santa Clara, CA, USA (including KAIST) from 1992 to 1996 and at ETRI, Korea, from 1998 to 2000, respectively. He worked as a faculty member in dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, Dongguk University, Seoul, Korea, from 2005 to 2022. Since 2020, he has been a director in Quantum Informatics Research (QIR), Songdo, Korea. His research interests are IoT, 5G/6G, Mobile & Edge Computing, System & Network Security, Deep Learning & Data Science and Quantum Computing & Quantum Cryptography.
